Her favorite thing about her work is combining the scientific and artistic aspects into something that can benefit the lives of so many around her.
Dr. Kiani began her career by attending George Mason University for her undergraduate degree before going to Georgetown University for her Master’s Degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (with a focus on Biotechnology). She then earned her Doctor of Medical Dentistry from Nova Southeastern University School of Dental Medicine, and she regularly pursued continuing education to stay on top of the latest advancements. With over a decade of experience, she’s also a proud member of organizations like the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
When she isn’t at the office, Dr. Kiani spends much of her time with her husband and their beautiful daughters. Other than taking care of pearly whites, she loves traveling when she can, admiring all forms of art like calligraphy, painting, photography, and playing the piano!
Dr Majd completed a six-year program at Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery. He then started a Post-Doctoral Endodontic Program at Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran after two years of private practice. In 2010, he earned his Certificate of Endodontics and Master in Neurophysiology, and he began working as an endodontic clinician while being an assistant professor in the Endodontic Department of Qazvin University of Medical Sciences.
Dr. Majd later moved to the United States and studied at the International Dentists Program at Howard University College of Dentistry to receive his second Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He typically provides Endodontic treatments and pulp regeneration and is passionate about doing research in the field of revascularization. He’s also a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Honor Society and the Iranian Association of Endodontists. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, playing chess, biking, reading historical books, and creating wonderful memories with his wife.
Born and raised in Bucharest, Romania, Dr. Buck graduated from the Titu Maiorescu School of Dental Medicine. Once he moved to the United States, he studied at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine for his DMD degree. He also earned the Rudoni Award for Clinical Excellence during his time there. Today, he remains up-to-date with the latest developments in dentistry and is a member of various dental associations in the E.U. and the U.S.
Outside of the dental office, he lives in Northern Virginia with his husband. He’s also incredibly passionate about diversity and founded the Boston University Dental School’s LGBTQ+ Organization, spreading awareness of LGBTQ+ problems in dentistry and healthcare.
I have been with Purple Plum since I was young and continue to appreciate this dentistry as a young adult. I always feel comfortable in this space and trust all who are employed here. They are gentle and do a great job with my smile!
