Karen Kozak
Dr. Kozak is excited to join the family at Purple Plum Dentistry! She looks forward to working with an extraordinary team to provide quality dental care for a wonderful community. Her practice philosophy is centered on comprehensive care, clear communication, and compassion.
Born and raised in the Midwest, Dr. Kozak moved to the East Coast to attend Davidson College in North Carolina where she attained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, and then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia. To further her dental knowledge, Dr. Kozak participates with continuing professional education, including with the Pankey Institute.
In her free time, Dr. Kozak enjoys running, traveling, and reading. She and her husband live in Alexandria with their cat, Mr. Darcy.
